Combating boredom. Still knee deep in refinishing the deck. More scraping and sanding yesterday and this morning. Almost done with zone 1, which is the busiest part of the deck. I’ll tackle zone 2 near the hot-tub, once I’ve finished zone 1. The body is complaining. The arms feel like rubber. The back feels like I’ve been run over by a bus. The mind is drifting towards the shade with a glass of iced tea. Old age is not for wimps.
Happy thought inventory. Dreaming of my deck being finished, imagining not having to scrape and sand and sit in the hot sun. The happiest thought is that this has been good exercise for a fuzzy old man who is overweight. Oh, to be 30 years old again.
Received the new computer keyboard. It’s spiffy. I can change the back-light between blue, red and green. The primary colors. I’m using blue. Easy to see and not obnoxious.
I’ve finally got the lawn sprinklers behaving properly. Ran like a champ this morning while having my coffee. Doobie doesn’t like them, he won’t come outside while they are running. I now have a new trick. If I don’t want him underfoot while I’m working out back, I just fire off the sprinklers.
I’ve given up haircuts and shaving while hunkering down. I would have done that anyway, unless I have a funeral or wedding to attend. I like the fact that I don’t need to impress anyone, particularly those who don’t impress me. Quid pro quo.

Still alive and well here in Denver.
