COVID-19 Hunker-down Log. Stardate 43971.64

Combating boredom. I have started work on resurfacing the back yard deck. Not a minor task. I did this about 6 years ago but time and the elements have worn it down substantially, so it’s time to get’r done.

The redwood has held up remarkably well considering the house is about 40 years old. The deck was installed about 30 years ago and it, like me, is showing the cracks, wrinkles and overall wear that living in Colorado can do to something. Not finding any rot, not seeing much in the way of loose timber, so mostly, I’ll just scrape and sand until it’s paintable.

Happy thought inventory. Glad to get this latest job started. The old saying, you can’t get finished unless you get started.

Received my new computer keyboard today. I’m typing this on it now, so it’s working fine. Gotta keep the computer at least half way up to date. The new keyboard is backlit, so I can see it when the lights are low. Now me on the other hand, I’m not backlit and not seeing me when the lights are low may be a blessing.

No television news today, well, as a matter of fact, no television at all today. I do much better when I don’t have to see or hear Donald Trump yacking at me from the big-screen.
